1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using AlertHz ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Basic Rules
Use the Service responsibly. In simple terms: don't abuse the service or other users.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Breaking laws or regulations
- Attempting to disrupt, exploit, or damage the service
- Harassing, abusing, or harming other users
- Circumventing security or access restrictions
- Using the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes
- Transmitting false or misleading alert information
3. Accounts
You are responsible for your account and any activity under it. You must:
- Be at least 16 years old to use the Service
- Provide accurate account information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Notify us immediately of unauthorized account access
You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts without authorization.
4. Service Availability
The Service is provided "as is." We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
We may:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
- Perform scheduled maintenance with or without notice
- Update features and functionality
- Change pricing or service plans (with advance notice to existing users)
5. Emergency Alert Responsibility
AlertHz is a notification tool. You are responsible for:
- Ensuring alert nodes are properly configured and maintained
- Testing your alert system regularly
- Having backup emergency notification procedures
- Training staff on proper alert protocol
AlertHz should not be your only emergency notification system. Always maintain redundant safety measures.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these terms
- Abuse the Service or its infrastructure
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Remain inactive for extended periods (with notice)
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support.
7. Liability and Disclaimers
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for damages or losses resulting from use of the Service
- We do not guarantee alert delivery success rates
- We are not responsible for third-party hardware or network failures
- Maximum liability is limited to fees paid in the last 12 months
Emergency Services: AlertHz is not a substitute for emergency services (911). In life-threatening emergencies, always contact emergency services directly.
8. Intellectual Property
AlertHz and its content (including software, design, and documentation) are owned by AlertHz and protected by copyright and trademark laws.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the Service
- Reverse engineer or decompile the software
- Remove proprietary notices or branding
9. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or dashboard notification.
Continued use of the Service after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction where AlertHz operates.
